In SongStory you will find information regarding the artist or band, the song and the album, where the song appeared on. For artist or band you will typically find information about their biography, greatest success and diskography. About the song you‘ll typically find background information about the development of the song or information about the song‘s meaning and intention. For the album you will typically get information regarding the release and the success of the album.
Because the information is provided by last.fm you are able to expand it yourself. Just log in on last.fm and provide your knowledge about your songs. This helps making the app better and better.
Please take in mind that there can‘t be information for every song or album of the world. It is also essential that the music on your device is tagged properly. With typos in the song‘s title or artist‘s name there will be no information found.
SongStory integrates with your personal music library, which is already on the device. You can choose in the app, which songs you want to listen to, jump to the next or previous track, pause the music and even create a temporary playlist. Closing SongStory won‘t stop the playing music, because you‘re directly controlling the iPod App from inside SongStory.
